Åsmund brings a unique blend of clinical, academic, and technological insight to our community. He is an associate professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), senior researcher for Sintef industry and physician at St. Olavs Hospital Cancer Clinic, where he leads a dynamic lab exploring how cancer cells resist growth control signals—leveraging systems biology and data modeling to uncover new therapeutic targets.
He’s deeply involved in Norway’s national precision oncology effort IMPRESS-Norway, and has helped shape future minds through award-winning teaching at NTNU. His commitment to functional, personalized cancer treatment and molecularly guided therapies aligns closely with the mission we share at OCC.
