Cancer Registry of Norway (Kreftregisteret) invites you to this seminar on stress and cancer featuring Associate Prof. Erica Sloan, from the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Erica Sloan has for several years been investigating how stress signals affects the progression of cancer and its response to therapy. She will present some of her most exciting mechanistic results and discuss her ongoing clinical trials with cancer patients. Edoardo Botteri from the Cancer Registry will introduce the topic with epidemiological evidence suggesting that reducing or “blocking” stress can improve outcomes for cancer patients.
Venue: Cancer Registry, Ullernschausseen 64, yellow building, meeting room Makro.
13:00 – 13:15 Edoardo Botteri: Epidemiological evidence
13:15 – 13:45 Erica Sloan: Biological mechanisms and prospective clinical interventions
13:45 – 14:00 Discussion
