Inside German Healthcare Procurement
We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive, hands-on workshop for Norwegian companies targeting the German healthcare market as one of Europe's largest and most complex procurement landscapes. Following the engaging workshop in December 2025 where we started to discuss the procurement organizations and learned from the experience and case studies shared by Norwegian companies, we are now taking the conversation further: with a direct, practitioner-level dialogue with one of Germany's most influential purchasing organizations.
We are looking forward to welcoming Marcel Opperbeck, Managing Director of AGKAMED, one of Germany's leading group purchasing organizations (GPOs), representing hospitals, municipal facilities, care homes, and specialized clinics across the country. AGKAMED is currently merging with EKK plus, forming a combined purchasing group with a volume of approximately €2 billion. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the decision-makers shaping how Germany's healthcare system buys.
Why Attend?
•Gain an insider perspective on how German GPOs evaluate and select international suppliers
•Understand market access requirements, including product data standards (HCDP), MDR compliance, and digital interfaces
•Learn how procurement structures are changing as ongoing consolidation reshapespurchasing power, and market entry dynamics
•Ask your specific questions directly to Marcel Opperbeck in dedicated Q&A and breakout sessions
• Connect with other Norwegian companies already active or are planning to enter the German market
•Leave with sharper next steps for how to navigate German procurement more effectively, reduce avoidable mistakes, and improve your chances of commercial traction
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is designed for Norwegian companies in healthtech, diagnostics, medical devices, and digital health solutions who are actively selling into or preparing to enter the German hospital and care home market. We particularly encourage participation from our export "landslag" companies with established export activity as well as companies at an earlier stage of market entry preparation.
How It Works
To make the most of the time with Marcel Opperbeck, we will collect your questions and topics in advance. Breakout and 1:1 sessions will be structured around the themes that matter most to you. Please share your key questions with Arild (arild.kristensen@norwayhealthtech.com) or Jutta (jh@oslocancercluster.no) in advance.
