Cancer Mission Hub Norway was established as a national response to the European Union’s Mission on Cancer, to mobilise all stakeholders for collaborations across disciplines, sectors, and local, regional and national levels.
The hub was initiated by the Norwegian Cancer Society, the Research Council of Norway and Oslo Cancer Cluster in 2021, and now includes 19 members.

The goal of the EU’s Mission on Cancer is to improve the lives of 3 million Europeans affected by cancer by 2030, through the four pillars: prevention, diagnostic and treatment, quality of life and understanding cancer. The European Commission have dedicated EUR 4 bn to this effort through the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
To succeed with the EU's Mission on Cancer, all stakeholders must work together to find good solutions. That is why Norwegian research environments, health authorities, hospitals, health industry, patient organisations and health clusters have come together and established a national mission hub. The aim is to mobilise stakeholders to collaborate across disciplines, sectors and local, regional and national levels.
