Professor Sigbjørn Smeland, MD, PhD, is Head of the Cancer Clinic and Chair of the Cancer Board for Oslo University Hospital - a Comprehensive Cancer Centre, as well as Professor of Oncology at the University of Oslo. He has extensive leadership experience and has held senior executive positions at university hospitals in Oslo since 2002. He currently also serves as the on-site director of the Radium Hospital. He is chair of national and regional CCC networks, chairman of Connect, and a member of the interim leadership of the European CCC network.
