The Clusters4Health Project
The Clusters4Health project marks a significant milestone in fostering collaboration between European and Ukrainian health clusters.
By encouraging closer collaboration with the EU and supporting the alignment of Ukrainian clusters with European health standards, Clusters4Health aims to support Ukraine’s integration into the single market.
This ambitious initiative enhances knowledge transfer, innovation, and capacity building, contributing to a more resilient and integrated healthcare sector.
The consortium of European health clusters leading the project are: ClustER Health (Italy), Biocat (Spain), Life Sciences Cluster Krakow (Poland), Oslo Cancer Cluster (Norway), Romanian Clusters Association, and Imago-Mol Cluster (Romania) as the coordinator.
Ukrainian partners include The Cluster of manufacturers of medical products (ProMedMan) and the NGO Rivne-TACMED acting on behalf of Rivne Interregional Medical Cluster.
“The Clusters4Health project is a key initiative in strengthening collaboration between European and Ukrainian health clusters through knowledge transfer, innovation, and capacity building,” said Alina Căpitanu, Vice-President of Imago-Mol Cluster on behalf of North East Regional Development Agency and Chair of MEDIC NEST Meta-Cluster in Precision Medicine.
Tetiana Vorontsova, President of the Rivne Interregional Medical Cluster, emphasized the broader significance of the initiative:
“The opportunity to collaborate with prominent European clusters, adopt best practices, and develop innovative health ecosystems in Rivne and across Ukraine is now a reality thanks to Clusters4Health. Despite the challenges of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, we are determined to take confident steps towards advancing our healthcare system on the path to Ukraine’s EU membership,” said Vorontsova.
By facilitating knowledge exchange, fostering innovation, and providing direct support to Ukrainian medical and health-tech enterprises, the project is set to make a lasting impact on healthcare resilience and growth.
